ROLAND MV-8000 SAMPLING WORKSTATION
Whether your passion is groove-making, sampling, mixing, or remixing, the MV-8000 gives you the opportunity to do all that and burn to CD, in one workstation. You can sample your own sounds, or import files (Akai, ACID, Roland or .WAV), and mix, tweak, and morph them into a sonic collage using the 16 touch-sensitive pads and built-in audio/MIDI sequencer. This workstation handles up to eight tracks of 24-bit audio and 128 MIDI tracks, it can sample up to 101 minutes of sound, and it comes with pro-level COSM effects and mastering tools. The MV-8000 also has a built-in CD-RW drive and USB port. Other features include the ability to synch up audio and effects to BPM, tap in tempo, auto-convert Akai files, and easily record in your favorite vinyl. The MV-8000 comes with four effects processors including reverb, chorus, and delay, and a multi-effects processor with COSM effects including algorithms like guitar amp modeling, microphone modeling, and lo-fi and slicer tools. The MV-8000 comes with a 40GB hard drive, so you can store samples and projects, and manage large sound libraries. You can also get an additional MV8-OP1 expansion card to gain six more analog ins, a digital in, and an R-BUS port to transfer up to eight channels of digital audio to any R-BUS equipped V-Studio or ADAT-compatible device. Since the MV-8000 has Roland’s V-LINK technology built in, it can also easily be used to trigger and manipulate video if you pick up a compatible video device. -$2,695
